We used to use AC-45, AC-47, and AC-48, depending on the age and engine condition of the tractor. I think 35 is a good gap but my memory reminds me of 40. However, reports indicate that the AC plug is no longer that good. Frame mounted serial number DD3913 and the engine casting 4514S..I can't read the last letter or number. The casting number on the head is 4514790. And FL is forklift, I would imagine. I think the engine is from a farm tractor also, as I see most of the other 600's on the net have yellow engines.They are as reliable as any Allis, very strong pullers, came standard with pto and fenders while the other colors were "optional". I was pulling disc today, and all at once the enginge started blowing smoke at the cranckcase vent tube. Seconds later loud squeaking noise came from engine. The clutch works, but almost to the floorboard to disengage. As I see it I should make the adjustment rod longer or ccw. I'm afraid of bringing the rod out of the trunnion. Is that possible. There is about 5 inches of pedal play. Gonna be plowing snow ,want to make sure it is adjusted right because of heavier use.A rough running engine could mean anything from needing a full tune-up to a tight or bad valve. If it happens to have Champion plugs in it, that could be your problem. Take them out and throw em' away and put a real set of sparklers in there like Autolites, AC's or NGK's.
