After years of carefully managed research and a few lucky breaks I finally got the opportunity to make her Chosen of the Eater and a true God-Empress at the age of 260.I would actually take this one step further and allow the ruler's special race to be built based on an advanced template: either psionic, genetic, cybernetic, or synthetic. I assume the event is trying to apply the "old" trait and then immediately deleting it because it sees it as invalid. You can manually add the traits if you really want.
