I think for your year truck, a reflashing of the computer will allow you to use an output pin of the computer to control the e-fan turning on and off. You'll still need a high-amp relay to do the heavy lifting, but you won't need any additional temp switches or anything.These fans run together draw 57 amps for a split second on start-up, then continuously draw 13.6 amps while running at 100%. During AC operation and running at 60% they only draw 10.6 amps. I would suggest going to a bigger alternator regardless.
